Congratulations to CHS sophomore Noah Shoemaker on breaking the school football record for Most Passing Yards in a Game - 224 yards (Vs Broken Bow). Noah was able to add his name to the school record board this morning!

Congratulations to CHS Senior Regan Schroeder Elks Student of the Month for April. CHS Counselor Mrs. Haarberg with junior representative Wyatt Hosick met with the counselors and junior representatives from Eustis-Farnam, Gothenburg, and Lexington for selection of Elks Student of the Month. Multiple times a year counselors and junior representatives from each of the schools above meet. The junior representatives look through portfolios of seniors from all four districts that have an application, resume, letter of recommendation, and transcript. There are then two seniors from either school district selected as Elks Student of the Month. This last meeting was held in Lexington and winners were selected for April and May. Congratulations to Karyn Burkholder who earned a 9th place medal in the 300 m hurdles at the KU Relays. This event is a 6 state region competition. Way to go Karyn!

The CHS Early Childhood and Education class is wrapping up the lesson planning unit. As a project, students planned an effective lesson plan for the first graders. While presenting their lesson the first-grade team evaluated the high school students' teaching techniques and activity plan. A huge thank you to Mrs. Arends and Mrs. Ross for allowing us to visit with their students.



TIME CHANGE BOYS' GOLF: The Boys Golf Invite at McCook on April 18th is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am Our printed calendar says 9:00 am.
