Cozad Community Schools is seeking applicants for the following positions for the 2023-2024 school year:

Paraprofessional Openings:

• Elementary Secretary (12 month employment)

• English Language Learner Paraprofessional

• High School Special Education Paraprofessional

• Elementary Instructional Paraprofessional

Paras require a High School Diploma or GED and must pass a Para Assessment or have the minimum amount of college credit.  You will work closely with the teacher in your assigned classrooms and support them in their duties. Tasks may change depending on the needs of the students.  Ideal candidates are caring, compassionate and dedicated to the students’ success.

Bus Driver Openings:

Route Bus Drivers -Drivers needed to drive students to and from school.  Class B CDL preferred, or ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement. CDL costs are covered by the school district. (2023-2024 pay rate for drivers is $21.82 an hour)

Activity Bus Drivers--Drivers needed to drive students and coaches to extracurricular activities. Class B CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL. Nebraska school bus endorsement required. CDL costs are covered by the school district. (2023-2024 pay rate for drivers is $21.82 an hour)

Substitute Teachers Needed

Substitute teachers are needed for the 2023-2024 school year. Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate required or applicants may apply for a Local Substitute Teaching Certificate through the Nebraska Department of Education. Applicants may qualify for a local substitute permit if they have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college coursework. Please call the District Office at 308-784-2745 for more information regarding Local Substitute Teaching Certificates.
