CHS Boys' Golf team has a busy competitive week. Today our Varsity golfers travel and compete at Holdrege. On Thursday, April 27th, they host the Dawson County Invite. On Friday, our JV Boys team will compete at Overton and the Varsity at Broken Bow. Good Luck Haymakers!

Congratulations to the 2023 Prom King and Queen. Eli Boryca and Kiley Porter were crowned King and Queen at the Red Carpet Walk this past Saturday at the Cozad High School prom.


Remember that Fine Arts Night is Friday, April 28th. The Art Show begins at 6 p.m. in the High School Commons. The awards ceremony for Band, Choir, One Act, and Speech will begin at 7 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. Family & friends are invited to attend.

Moving along on our renovations at the High School campus--footings are being pumped today for the locker rooms, maintenance room, and training room! It's a Great day to be a Maker!




Lady Haymaker Basketball Fundraiser Plants will be ready for pick up tomorrow (Saturday, April 22) from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Cozad Middle School. Due to the COLD temperature forecast, please place these plants inside when you get home!


CHS Junior Andrea Meester competed the state science fair on Thursday April 20th at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Her project "Argentum's ability to inhibit bacterial growth" tested if bandages fused with silver nitrate successfully stop bacterial growth. She concluded the silver bandages do sufficiently stop growth of staphylococcus epidermidis and E. coli. Her project received a blue ribbon and a ticket to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo.

"The Black Tie Nights" is the theme for the 2023 Cozad High School Prom. Prom is this Saturday, April 22nd. The public is invited to view decorations in the HS commons from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. The public is also encouraged to attend the Red Carpet Walk & Coronation in the HS Auditorium beginning at 7:30 pm.
