District Wrestling starts today! Good luck to the Haymaker wrestlers and coaches as they travel to Grand Island Northwest for the District Class B District 3 meet. Today's wrestling begins at 3:30. Tomorrow, February 11th, wrestling begins at 10:00 am. Awards will take place at the conclusion of the tournament. Schools in our district include: Adams Central, Aurora, Chadron, Cozad, Hastings, Norris, Northwest, Plattsmouth, Schuyler, Wahoo, and York.

We are excited to communicate that construction will begin at the high school campus this coming Monday, February 13th. Construction will begin on the west side of the high school. The west parking lot and entrance doors will be closed effective February 13th. Beginning Monday, all visitors to the HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING must park and enter through the EAST entrance doors only. We are working to identify designated visitor parking on the east side of the high school. The Middle School west side entrance will remain open. If you have any questions, please contact the high school. Thank you for your flexibility as we begin construction.
Route Bus Drivers -
Drivers needed to drive students to and from school. Class B CDL preferred, or ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement. CDL costs are covered by the school district. Application forms are available at the Cozad Community Schools District Office, 1910 Meridian Avenue, or are available on the school’s website (www.cozadschools.net). Girls Basketball C1-11 Sub-districts will begin on Monday, February 13th at Gothenburg High School. Cozad Girls Basketball will play Holdrege at 6:00 pm.
Parents: Just a reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences will be held next week on Thursday, February 16th. Conferences will be held from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. High School and Middle School is an "open house" format and scheduled times for elementary can be done through Bloomz. There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Thursday & Friday--February 16th and 17th.

Congratulations to FFA Members Waylon Felharty and Hayden Russman who have earned the honor of applying for the State FFA Degree. As part of this process, these students are required to complete an in person interview, with staff from the State FFA Association office, about their SAE projects, time in FFA and Agriculture Education.
The State FFA Degree is the highest degree awarded by State Associations and is open to members in 11th grade or higher who are involved in chapter leadership, state–level activities and community service, and who complete a set number of hours of instruction and SAE growth and productivity
