We are aware that phone calls are being made by individuals to school districts in an attempt to scam the public. We here at Cozad Community Schools have NOT received these calls. “Swatting” is the attempt is to divert law enforcement to locations that don’t need their assistance, making other areas less secure. This is happening across the state. We want to reiterate that our buildings are secure, and all staff have been notified to be on alert for this situation. Cozad Community Schools is working in coordination with the Cozad Police Department to monitor the situation. The school administration will engage the I Love You Guys safety protocol and we will secure all of our buildings if appropriate. Please reach out to your building administrator with any questions or concerns. The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority.
