Today, Thursday, December 18th, the team travels to McCook for the McCook Invite, with wrestling beginning at 3:00 PM. They will then head to Greeley, Colorado, to compete on Friday and Saturday. Attention: There is a change to today’s basketball schedule. Due to low numbers for Cambridge, there will be no Boys JV game, and the Girls JV game will be limited to two quarters. The Girls JV game will still begin at the regularly scheduled time of 4:00 PM. Varsity games will remain as scheduled. Thank you for your understanding, and go Haymakers!
Join us for Little Cheer Camp, January 7–9! This camp is open to all Preschool–5th grade students and is a great chance to learn fun cheer skills with our CHS Cheerleaders.
Camp sessions will run:
• Wednesday, January 7: 3:30–5:30 PM
• Thursday, January 8: 3:30–5:30 PM
• Friday, January 9: 3:30–5:00 PM
Participants will perform during halftime of the boys’ basketball game on January 9th.
Cost is $15 per participant, and scholarships are available. Each child will receive a t-shirt, face tattoo, and pom poms. Registration and payment are due December 19th.

Cozad Middle School Art Show and Concert will take place this evening, Tuesday, December 16th. The Art Show opens at 6:15 PM and will showcase the work of our first semester art students. The Fall Choir and Band Concert will begin at 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. Come enjoy an evening of great student talent!

Last night was the first High Gear Haymakers Semester Showcase! HAL (high ability learner) students and their families came to enjoy 4 stations with STEM challenges and a scavenger hunt with riddles and problem solving. Students were able to showcase their creative and critical thinking skills by showing their families how they process through the challenges.
A big thank you to all of the families who attended!
Thank you again to our staff, students, and community members for the incredible donations during last month’s NHS Food Drive. A total of 11,387 pounds of food was delivered to the Cozad Food Pantry.
For their outstanding efforts and achievement, students who participated in the Food Drive will receive early dismissal times on Friday, December 19th. Seniors, our first-place finishers, have no school. Sophomores, who placed second, will be dismissed at 10:40. Juniors, in third place, will be dismissed at 12:52, and freshmen will be dismissed at 2:34.

Senior & Senior Parents: FAFSA Night will be held in the High School Library tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 10th) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Nebraska now requires all public high school students (Class of 2025 and beyond) to complete the FAFSA or file a formal opt-out form in order to graduate.
