CHS FCCLA did not get to attend Washington DC to experience the National Leadership Conference this year, but they still had a great time learning at the vNLC!! Their STAR results are as follows: Alyssa Kolbo, Autumn Smith and Megan Dyer competing in level 2 Chapter in Review portfolio ranking 8th - Gold; Shaundra Weiderholt and Lynzi Becker competing in level 2 Chapter Service Project display ranking 27th - Bronze; Katie Wilson competing in level 2 Fashion Design ranking second - Gold; Maddie Spaulding, Sydney Howerter, and Kelsey Shotkoski competing in level 2 Sustainability Challenge ranking 10th - Gold Congratulations ladies!! You make Cozad proud!

Future 6th Graders & 6th Grade Parents: We are so excited that you will soon be roaming the halls of Cozad Middle School! We would like to help make your transition as smooth as possible, so we have made a list of supplies needed for each of your classes. We will also be having a 6th grade orientation for you and your parents at Cozad Middle School on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 7:00 PM. Cozad High School Student Council will be holding their sixth annual Back 2 School Backpack Project. This year will be a little different because of Covid-19, we would like to have you fill out the following form so that we have an idea of what supplies are needed. Priority will be given to Cozad elementary students (in grades Preschool thru 5th grade). We ask that you only pick up supplies for your children. We may have to limit the number of people in at a time. Grab & Go lunches will be served Monday and Wednesday of this week. There will be no lunches served on Friday, July 3rd , in observance of July 4th. To help provide meals to students we will be handing out three meals on Wednesday. We will resume on Monday, July 6th. #cozadMakers

The Cozad High School Student Council is still planning on holding the sixth annual Back 2 School Backpack Supply Project this year. We are still working out the details for picking up supplies. We know that with Covid-19, there are many families that will need help with school supplies. Since we did not ask businesses for donations this year, we may be limited on some of the items. If you would like to donate supplies or money to the project, donations can be dropped off at any of the churches or at the High School. Please see the items that are needed. Cozad Board of Education regular meeting will be held on Monday, June 15th, at 12:00 pm at the District Office.

The PowerSchool Student and Parent portals, as well as the PowerSchool mobile apps, have been disabled for the summer so we can work on scheduling and getting ready for the upcoming school year. Parent and student access will be restored in August. Have a great summer!

Cozad Community School Summer Hours

Cozad Community Schools is seeking applications for an anticipated custodian at our Elementary School. This is a full time 12-month position. Benefits include health, dental & vision insurance. Application forms are available at the Cozad Community Schools District Office, 1910 Meridian Avenue or are available on the school’s website (www.cozadschools.net). Due to the power outage Thursday morning the strength and conditioning session will be moved to Friday morning at the same times. The evening session on Thursday will still be at its regular time (5PM) on Thursday (no evening session on Friday).

Reminder Class of 2020: Virtual graduation ceremony filing tomorrow, June 3rd, at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm or 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. These will be our last filming sessions. #cozadmakers
