CHS Students (and 2020 Graduates): The High School yearbooks for the 2019-2020 school year are in and ready for pick up. Graduated seniors can pick theirs up in the HS office and returning students can pick them up from Mrs. Sansone next week when school starts.
CHS Students: We have scheduled times for High School students to pick up their chromebook, charger, and forms. We would appreciate students picking them up at these scheduled times before school starts so your device can be charged and ready to go the first day of classes. NEW students will get their device the first week of school.

There will be a free kicking clinic for Haymaker football players grades 6-12 on Thursday August 13th from 9 AM-11 AM. The clinic will be on the practice fields north of the school. Mr. Josh Cherry, former K-State kicker, will be the clinic instructor. Bring cleats, shorts, tshirt. If interested email Coach Cargill at brian.cargill@cozadschools.net
If you are a Free and Reduced family and want to have your students information shared with other programs, you MUST complete the Sharing Information with Other Programs form. This form was included in the lunch information packets that were mailed out to families. Information will ONLY be shared with the programs you check. If you have any questions on your students' lunch status or need another form, please contact Brenna at 308-784-2745.
Youth football camp tshirts are in. Participants may pick them up in the high school weight room on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-3:30 PM.

Covid back to school update—Students riding route buses are REQUIRED to wear a mask on the bus.
CHS Students and Parents--The High School has opened up the PowerSchool portal so that HS students (grades 9-12) can sign in and look at their schedules. Any HS student needing to change their schedule must call the High School at 784-2744 and make an appointment with the HS Counselor. There will be no schedule changes after Friday, August 21st.
Town Bus Routes: Due to Covid restrictions, we will NOT run TOWN routes in the AFTERNOON. They will run in the morning. (We are able to drop off country route and then pick up town route in the morning, but unable to do this in the afternoon.)
Throughout the school year, Alyssa Kolbo, Katie Wilson, and Madison Rowley took Fashion Design class through the FCS department at our high school. They each designed and created an outfit and applied for Omaha Fashion Week. Where they had the chance to model their first outfits and later went on to create their own clothing line.
Madi and Katie both used their deigns to compete in STAR. Madi competed in Fashion Construction earning 1st at Districts and 4th at State. Katie competed in Fashion Design earning 1st at Districts, 2nd at State, and 2nd at Nationals!!!
So proud of each of these young ladies for their accomplishments!!!

Attention Volleyball Parents and Fans - The volleyball jamboree contest scheduled for Aug 21st @ South Loup HS has been cancelled. This will now be a Gatorade scrimmage starting @ 5:00 pm in the Cozad HS Gym on the same date. #cozadmakers
Parents & Students: If you have a school charger for a chromebook or iPad at your home that was not returned with the device, could you please drop off at the school. We are missing some iPad and chromebook chargers. We would greatly appreciate it!
Middle School Parents and Students— please note that there will be no new student and sixth grade orientation at 7 PM on Thursday, August 13. Instead of doing a large group orientation, the middle school has scheduled open house style times for six through eighth grade to come to the school and get their paperwork, schedules, and lockers. 6th grade parents are invited to attend with your child.

Below you will find the procedures and times allowed for middle school students to pick-up their schedules, paperwork and get in their lockers. Students will only be allowed in the school building one time during that day.
Tuesday, August 11th- 1:00-4:00 PM- 8th Grade Students ONLY- no parents allowed.
Wednesday, August 12th- 1:00-4:00 PM- 7th Grade Students ONLY- no parents allowed.
Thursday, August 13th- 1:00-7:00 PM- 6th Grade Students, NEW students and parents are allowed.
Friday, August 14th- 1:00-4:00 PM- Any student that did not make their scheduled time will be allowed.
Youth football camp begins tomorrow (Tuesday) with grades 4-6 at 8:30-10 AM on practice fields. Grades 7 & 8 from 10 AM - 12 Noon. Still accepting registrations up till camp time.
Reminder - Fall Sports Parents Meeting tonight, Aug 3rd, @ 7:00 pm - HS GYM. This is for HS athletes and parents participating in a fall sport - use southeast doors (locker room hallway) of HS to enter. Face coverings are recommended #cozadmakers

Congratulations to Mr. Hans Kloepping on his retirement! Today was Hans’ last day after serving the Cozad Community School district for the past 38 years. Thank you Hans and enjoy your retirement. You deserve it!
