Congratulations to CHS Senior Shaundra Wiederholt who was awarded a Hagan Scholarship to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help high achieving students graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $6,000 each semester for up to eight consecutive semesters. The scholarship also provides recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum via free workshops, Schwab brokerage accounts and study abroad. Hagan Scholars currently attend colleges and universities located in 47 states.

The Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS) is our statewide assessment system that embodies Nebraska’s holistic view of students and helps them prepare for success in post-secondary education, career, and civic life.
CMS students will be taking their state assessment the week of April 11th. Please make sure your student comes to school each day rested and ready to take their exam. Students need to make sure their chromebooks are up-to-date, charged, and brought to school each day. Testing dates and times are as follows:
April 11th NSCAS 6th, 7th and 8th period Science- 8th grade ONLY
April 12th, NSCAS-1st and 2nd period Math- 6th, 7th and 8th grade-

Cozad Early Education Center recognizing Week of the Young Child 2022


CHS Parents that have students enrolling in CCC classes in the upcoming 22-23 school year, there will be an important meeting on Monday, April 11, at 6:30 pm in the High School Commons. We will be discussing expectations, cost, and enrollment. A representative from CCC will be present. This is ONLY for next year's juniors and seniors that are taking an In-Depth or CNA course.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5 the Cozad Runza will donate 10% of sales to the Cozad Schools Backpack Food Program. Thank you to Runza for making this an annual commitment to supporting our school.

The CHS Early Childhood Education and Services class read books and did an activity with Mrs. Regelin's PreK students Friday morning.
