School pictures will be taken this week! High School and Middle School students will have pictures on Wednesday, September 3rd, while Cozad Elementary and CEEC students will have theirs on Thursday, September 4th. If a student is absent, picture retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, October 16th.

Cozad Softball is headed to the Blair Invite this Saturday, August 30th at the Blair Youth Complex. The Haymakers open play at 10:00 am against Ashland-Greenwood. Let’s go Haymakers!
Cozad Cross Country had a strong showing at the North Platte Invite in Sutherland on Thursday, August 28th. The girls placed 4th as a team, while the boys earned 2nd place and brought home the Runner-Up Plaque.
Koang Deng had a standout performance, running a 16:55 to move up to 5th fastest in school history. Medalists included Cayden Schwarz, 9th in JV; Hayden Revelo, 10th in JV; Koang Deng, 4th; Gavin Guerra, 16th; Jaxson Arndt, 15th; Chase Smith, 17th; Carson Favinger, 14th; and Audrey Baker, 11th.
Boys team members competing were Carson Favinger, Kenny Hernandez, Cayden Schwarz, Chandler Kaup, Gavin Guerra, Koang Deng, Jairn Flores, Jaxson Arndt, Chase Smith, Dilan Orellana, Rieker Spradlin, Taegan Dexter, Hayden Revelo, and Elias Morris.

A Message from the Cozad Police Department and Cozad Community Schools:
Late last night, the Cozad Police Department was made aware of a potential threat of violence concerning Cozad Middle School. After investigation by the Cozad Police Department involving a number of students and parents, and subsequently by Cozad Community Schools with video surveillance, it was determined that no credible threat is evident.
Cozad Middle School will begin classes at the normal time this morning. Out of an abundance of caution, school officials and the Cozad Police Department will continue to investigate the situation and notify students, staff and the community if a safety concern were to arise.
In summary, after a thorough investigation, we are convinced there is no credible threat of violence concerning Cozad Middle School.

Big updates to the CHS Track & Field record board! 🏅 Congratulations to Boston Irish, Chayden Hoffmaster, Bryson Snider, and Olliver Davis for setting a new school record in the 4x100m Relay with a time of 42.51a this past spring. Boston also set a new school record in Pole Vault at 16' 0.25", and Chayden broke the school record in Long Jump at 23' 2.75". Way to make history, Haymakers! #HaymakerWay
