Good luck to our Girls Golf team as they compete today at the Dawson County Meet in Gothenburg at 10:00 am, and tomorrow at the Ogallala Invite at 10:00 am (CST)! ⛳️

On Thursday, the girls golf team competed at the North Platte Invite, held at River Edge Golf Club. The team faced chilly weather conditions—a notable shift from recent tournaments—and adjusted to a new course that most had never played before.

Ella Atchison earned 8th place with a score of 96. Abbie Albrecht set a new personal record, shooting a 100. Emma Howerter finished with a 117, and Ava Joyce recorded a 119. Morgan Mraz did not compete due to injury.

Great effort by all the girls in tough conditions on unfamiliar terrain.

On Tuesday the Girls Golf Team competed at Wild Horse for the Gothenburg invite. As a team Cozad placed 4th out of 11 teams.
Ella Atchison placed 5th with a score of 88.
Ava Joyce placed 15th with a score of 97 setting a new personal record.
Morgan Mraz scored 100.
Abbie Albrecht scored 120.
Emma Howerter scored 130.

Softball game postponed to Thursday, Sept 18th @ 5:00 pm in Lexington. Varsity only.

Schedule Update JV/Varsity Softball at Lexington tonight: –JV @ 5:00 pm –Varsity @ 6:00 pm (moved up from 6:30 pm) Game times have been adjusted to get ahead of the weather moving in.

The Cozad XC team competed at the Broken Bow invite on Saturday September 13th. The Boys team placed 3rd as a team while the girls placed 6th as a team. Medal winners were Jaxson Arndt (13th), Audrey Baker (11th), and Koang Deng (4th). Great job to all our Haymakers!

Schedule Update:
Due to potential weather out west, the Middle School Football games at Ogallala on Tuesday, September 16th will now kick off at 2:30 pm Central Time. Players will be dismissed at 11:00 am to eat lunch and will depart at 11:30 am.
The first game (A game) will kick off at 2:30 pm with the second game (B game) to follow.

Today’s High Five Friday had us running into the weekend with our Haymaker Cross Country team! ✋✨ Just like our runners pace themselves and push through every mile, our students are showing grit, determination, and a whole lot of Haymaker spirit.

Thanks to everyone who lined the halls with big smiles and bigger high fives—it’s the best way to start our Friday and keep the momentum strong all day long. 💯

Cozad High School was proud to sponsor the American Red Cross Blood Drive on September 8th. Together, we collected 31 units of blood and welcomed 15 first-time donors!
