Huge shoutout to CHS Junior Clatyn Fleharty for an incredible accomplishment. Back in October, Clatyn tied a Class C state record by smashing 3 home runs in a single game against Lexington. She finished the game a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, adding a walk and racking up 8 RBIs—an unforgettable performance. Clatyn is now just the 9th player in Class C history to achieve this amazing feat. Congratulations, Clatyn! We are so proud of you! #HaymakerWay

The High School Quiz Bowl in Broken Bow on Wednesday, February 28th, will be available via video and radio broadcast. The event is scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, and after the morning show wraps up, coverage will begin mid-morning, likely around 9:45 or 10:00 AM. Tune in and support our Haymakers. Concert Date Change Alert! The 2nd/3rd Grade Concert originally listed on the printed school calendar has been rescheduled to March 6th. The concert will still take place at the same times as originally planned at the Elementary. Please update your calendars, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Penny War returns to Cozad Elementary!! We are excited to partner with Cozad Elementary Parent Organization (CEPO) for this fun event. Best of luck to our State Wrestling qualifiers as they compete at the State Wrestling Meet in Omaha over the next three days, starting today Thursday, February 20! Our Cozad wrestlers will hit the mats in the 2nd Session, 1st Round at 3:00 PM, followed by the Quarterfinals. All matches will be streamed on the NFHS Network (subscription required) with the Finals on Nebraska Public Media (PBS) 3:00 Saturday. Unfortunately, due to the weather and school closure, our sendoff for state, dance, cheer, and state wrestlers has been canceled. We wish these athletes the best of luck at their state competitions!

Attention parents and High School Spring Sports athletes! There will be meetings on Monday, February 24th at 6:30 PM. The Boys Golf meeting will be held in the High School Flex Classroom, and the Boys & Girls Track meeting will take place in Coach Brummer’s Classroom. Due to Cozad hosting the Boys C1-7 Sub-Districts, the meetings will be in individual locations. Be sure to join us to learn more about the upcoming season! This is for all High School athletes and parents competing in Boys Golf and Girls and Boys Track.
