Driver's Education will be offered by Cozad High School this summer. Classroom sessions will be held from May 20th to 24th in MS Room 10, with driving sessions scheduled for June or July. This course is open to students aged 13-16 years old (must be 14 by October 15th) and the course fee is $300. Spots are limited to the first 24 paid registrants! We are delighted to introduce Mrs. Amberlyn Cullers as our newest addition to the Elementary staff, joining us as a 1st-grade teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Previously a 4th-grade educator at Lexington Public Schools, Mrs. Cullers brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our team. She firmly advocates for education beyond textbooks, stressing the significance of cultivating a safe environment where students feel empowered to inquire and learn from their mistakes. Notably, Amberlyn is no stranger to the Haymaker family, having graduated from Cozad High School in 2013. We eagerly welcome her back to the Haymaker family in this new capacity!
Welcome Mrs. Karman Keith to Cozad Elementary as our newest 1st-grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year! With experience teaching grades 3, 5, and 6, Mrs. Keith brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication. Having raised her own children and served as an Administrative Assistant at Gothenburg Elementary, as well as a substitute teacher, she is well-prepared for this new role. Important Traffic Update! Starting on Monday, February 26th, due to utility tie ins, please note the following detours on Meridian Avenue by the high school/middle school:
~~Traffic from the SOUTH will be detoured around at 17th Street over to H Street.
~~Traffic from the NORTH will be detoured around at 18th Street to H Street.
~~Residents on Meridian Ave within the affected block will have access to a lane for coming and going from their homes.
We kindly ask for minimal traffic through the construction area to ensure everyone's safety and smooth progress. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
