Runza Holiday Basketball Tournament Tips Off Today! Cozad takes the court at Nebraska Christian for an exciting day of basketball action.
Today's Schedule (Adjusted Times): JV Girls: 1:00 PM, JV Boys: 2:30 PM, Varsity Girls: 4:00 PM, and Varsity Boys: 5:30 PM. (Important Note: Today’s game times have been adjusted and do not match the attached brackets for game times today.) The tournament continues on December 30 and January 2, with Cozad Varsity playing at home on December 30.

It’s a big day for our CHS Wrestling teams! The Girls Wrestling team is competing in the Valentine Invite with matches starting at 1:00 pm, while our JV Boys Wrestling team takes on the competition at the Sutherland Invite, beginning at 10:00 am. Miss Maginnis’ 7th-grade art class has been busy exploring the world of Claes Oldenburg, an artist renowned for his larger-than-life sculptures of everyday objects. Inspired by his work, students chose their favorite snacks and recreated them on a grand scale! Using the grid method, they sketched their designs with precision, brought them to life with vibrant acrylic paint, and stuffed their snack bags with recycled paper from other classes. The results? A colorful and creative celebration of art and snacks! Way to go, 7th graders, for combining art, sustainability, and imagination!

Thank You, Mrs. Ann Burkholder! Cozad Community Schools would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Ann Burkholder for her incredible 38 years of service and dedication to our Cozad Board of Education. Last night marked Mrs. Burkholder's final Board meeting as she retires after nearly four decades of unwavering commitment to our students, staff, and community. To honor her years of service, Superintendent Dr. Dan Endorf presented Mrs. Burkholder with a plaque recognizing her outstanding dedication to Cozad Community Schools.
