The Cozad Community Schools Board of Education will have three open seats up for election or re-election for terms beginning January 2019. The seat term is for 4 years. The candidate filing deadline is approaching for May's primary ballot. Incumbents must file by February 15th and challengers must file by March 1st. On Monday, February 5th and Tuesday, February 6th, the students at Cozad High School will have the opportunity to take part in courses that are not typically offered at CHS. The 2018 Maker Fair is our fourth annual event, which is loosely based on college interim programs. This project is funded by a grant from the Cozad Foundation. Over the course of two school days, all staff and many community members will be teaching more than 55 different courses. These courses will range in length from 3 hours (half day), to a full day, and even to two full days. Due to low numbers from Minden girls team, the 9/10 GIRLS basketball game at Minden for tomorrow (2.1.18) has been cancelled. The boys game will still be played according to the school calendar.
Cozad Crazies and Youth Haymaker Hoops Opportunity this Friday at the HOME Basketball games vs Minden. Wear your Cozad Crazies t-shirt to the game to get in free. Also, we will have ALL 1st-8th graders who participated in Haymaker Hoops this season shoot around and scrimmage at halftime of the Girl's Varsity game. This is will be at approx. 6:30pm. The boys are to meet in the hallway next to the locker rooms at 6:15pm.
The Boys game will start at 7:45pm. Come out and support our 15-3 Haymaker Boys Basketball team!
