🥎 Softball Subdistricts -- The Cozad Varsity Haymakers battled with heart and determination, tying it up in the bottom of the 7th to send the game into extra innings. Despite a hard-fought effort, they came up just short against Raymond Central, 15-9.

The Girls Golf team wrapped up their season today at the district meet held at Indianhead Golf Club in Grand Island. The team placed 6th out of 13, with several strong individual performances on the course.
-Ella shot a 97 to finish 12th overall.
-Abbie Albrecht carded a 106, placing 23rd.
-Ava Joyce followed closely with a 108 to take 26th.
-Morgan Mraz finished 29th with a score of 110.
-Emma Howerter completed her round with a 121, placing 45th.
The Haymakers had a great season, setting numerous personal bests and showing strong teamwork throughout.
A big thank you to our varsity parents for the thoughtful care bags before districts, and to all the Haymakers supporters who cheered us on all season! We’d also like to give a huge thank you to our volunteer coaches, Chad Atchison and Jeff Howerter, for generously giving their time, support, and guidance throughout the season.

Cozad Elementary hosted its first session of High Gear Haymakers today! This program is a great opportunity for 3rd-5th grade students who have qualified as High Ability Learners to get together to learn, grow, and experience new challenges. Students will be recognized at each session for having a growth mindset and persevering through hard things!

The CHS Band will be marching in the Harvest of Harmony Parade tomorrow, Saturday, October 4th. The parade begins at 8:15 AM. They’re listed as band #6 and their actual entry is #19. Later, the band will perform their field show at GISH at 12:15 PM. The parade will be live streamed on their Facebook page.
