All CHS Biology classes had the opportunity to explore the Mid-Nebraska Makerspace Labs this week. A huge thank you to ESU10 and the community partners who make this opportunity possible!

Cozad Early Education Center is accepting enrollment forms for PreKindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. If you would like an enrollment packet or have questions, please call Amy at 308-784-3381.

Cozad FCCLA members are delivering treats to HS teachers this morning for Teacher Appreciation Day and to thank them for all their support. Thanks Cozad FCCLA.

Thank you to Security First Bank for sponsoring "Cash for College". At the Varsity Basketball game Tuesday evening, Mr. Mark Messner shot for a chance for Abigail Thaden, CHS Senior, to be awarded up to $1,500. Abigail, whose name was randomly drawn, choose Mr. Messner as the teacher to attempt the shots. Mr. Messner had 5 attempts to make a layup, free throw, and a 3 point shot. His success at the basket earned $1,500 for Abigail for "Cash for College"! Thank you Security First Bank for supporting our students!

Congratulations to the 2020 Nebraska Young Artist Award winners! Makenna White, Becca Shaffer, and Biz Tvrdy were selected for the award in the area of dance. These girls will be recognized at a ceremony at UNL on April 8, 2020. #cozadMakers

The media production class had an awesome opportunity to film/work with local business owners. Students listened to the history of the company, along with the goals and values they have implemented.

2020 Nebraska School Board Recognition Week February 9th- February 15th Cozad Community Schools would like to recognize and thank our Board of Education for their roles and responsibilities in governing our school district. Board members include: Michele Starman, President; Joel Carlson, Vice President; Ann Burkholder, Secretary; Judy Eggleston, Kiley Goff, and John Peden. The elementary will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair February 17th - 20th in the elementary library. Hours are 7:30 - 4:30 Monday - Wednesday and till 6:00 on Thursday of Parent Teacher conferences.

Dream Big! The Dawson Area Leadership Class 17 will be holding a drawing tomorrow night at the Cozad vs Minden Basketball games. The proceeds will make dreams happen for four local non-profit organizations.

Cozad High School Ultimate Frisbee Tournament-- Grade 9 to Adults! When: Saturday, March 7th Where: Cozad High School Gym (2 courts will be used) Time: Play begins at 9AM Fee: Entry fee is $50 dollars per team. Parents Please Mark your Calendars: The Music Festival scheduled on March 10th has been rescheduled to March 19th to accommodate the change in the speech calendar. Students affected are 6-12 band and 7-12 vocal. More information on the event will be sent home with students closer to the date.
