Cozad Community School Summer Hours
Cozad Community Schools is seeking applications for an anticipated custodian at our Elementary School. This is a full time 12-month position. Benefits include health, dental & vision insurance. Due to the power outage Thursday morning the strength and conditioning session will be moved to Friday morning at the same times. The evening session on Thursday will still be at its regular time (5PM) on Thursday (no evening session on Friday).

Parents and Students: We have encountered some calculating issues within PowerSchool on final grades. You may see some changes in grades due to the corrections. We will be storing final grades later this week.
CMS students--Please bring your chromebook and charger and any other school issued items to the front of the Middle School tomorrow (Wednesday) between 2PM and 6PM. We will have all of your personal items, yearbook (if purchased) and awards ready for you when you arrive.
Cozad Community Schools is pleased to announce that Ben Vetrovsky has been named the new Boys Golf Head Coach at Cozad High School. Coach Vetrovsky replaces Tim Davis who has stepped down from the position. Before becoming an assistant coach for the Cozad golf team in 2020, Coach Vetrovsky was an assistant at McCook High School and Waverly High School. In 2014, he helped coach McCook High School to a state team title. His playing experience includes two years at McCook Community College and two years at Hastings College. In 2011, he led his McCook High School team to a state team title and finished 4th individually.
Nathan Breon has been chosen to play in the Shrine Bowl July 11th in Kearney, NE. Nathan was a 3 year starter and is the career leader in pancake blocks for Cozad High School. Congratulations Nathan! Haymaker Nation is proud of you!
Grab & Go lunches are being served today. Reminder —There will be no lunches served on Monday or Tuesday, May 25th and 26th, but, will resume on Wednesday, May 28. Lunches will be served until July 24th.
CHS Freshmen Check-in today at the High School. Freshmen (and any other student who has not checked out) please come to the West Side of the High School any time from 9:00 am to Noon. Please remain in vehicle until we are ready for you to come to the table. Thank you!

Students come to the parking lot on the west side of the high school (faculty parking lot). Students will need to remain in their vehicles until you are asked to get out and report to the checkout stations.
Cozad will be offering a very limited Driver's Education program this summer. The program is scheduled to begin on June 8th. Mr. Cargill will be contacting students whose registration we have accepted. Due to the current Directed Health Measure's we are under, we will only be able to offer this opportunity to 10 students. At this time the program is full and we are no longer accepting applications.

Due to the weather forecast (rain) we will checkout the Junior and Sophomore classes at the district offices tomorrow (Thursday, May 21st). The district office is about 2 blocks north of the HS/MS complex on the east side of Meridian (1910 Meridian Ave.) . Freshmen will still check out on the west side of the High School on Friday.
