Wishing the best of luck to our Haymakers who are headed to the State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha this week. Class B competition begins on Friday, February 17th. Kaleb Pohl, CHS Senior, won the B-4 District competition for weight class 182. CHS Freshmen Wrestler Dreu White was the district runner up at 132 lbs. Good Luck at State Haymakers!

The 2021 Nebraska State Cheer and Dance Championships are being held February 17-20. Cozad Cheer will compete in the C1 division which will take place on Saturday afternoon at the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island. Our cheer team will perform their Non-tumbling routine at 3:05 and the GameDay routine at 4:45.

Cozad Community Schools will be holding Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Conferences are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. High School and Middle School are an "open house" format and elementary conferences are scheduled times. We look forward to seeing you!

Attention Basketball Parents & Patrons: Tonight’s games with Broken Bow have been cancelled. The Boys’ game will be made up on Monday, February 15th. JV Boys will play at 4:30 and Varsity boys to follow at 6:00 pm. Both of these games will be played in the CHS gym. Parents’ Night for both boys and girls basketball teams will take place between the JV and Varsity games that night. Due to Girls’ sub-district tournament next week, their game against Broken Bow will not be rescheduled.
The status of the Boys’ Basketball game scheduled with Sidney on Saturday, February 13th, is still being determined if it will be played or not. More information will be posted as soon as available. #cozadMakers

Senior year is a whirlwind of activities. This is a big year for your child as he or she balances schoolwork, extracurricular activities and the college application process. At this time, our seniors are underway on completing scholarships. Our High School Counselor, Mr. Jose Monrroy, sends an update every two weeks summarizing the scholarships they have submitted.
