Congratulations to CHS Teacher, Mr. Ron Bubak, who was awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cozad Post 890 Teacher of the Year award! Mr. Bubak was recognized at the Veteran's Day Service and following the program, Officer Brad Peltier presented the award to Mr. Bubak.

The Haymaker football team will have its recognition banquet this Thursday November 12th in the HS gym from 6-6:30 PM. All players and parents are welcome to attend, mask and distancing protocols will be in effect. Enter through the south gym door as it will be unlocked at 5:45. Seating will be in the north bleachers only. We will recognize the years achievements, participants, and letter winners for this season.

Due to the new Directive Health Measures that Governor Ricketts put into place which begin on Wednesday, November 11th, our Veterans’ Day Service at 10:00 am will be modified to meet these new guidelines. We are now limited to 25% capacity in the gymnasium, therefore, the only people in attendance in the gym for the service will be individuals performing/speaking, keynote speaker, and community members. High School and Middle School students will watch the service from their classroom through a live-stream. Community members are invited to attend but according to the new DHM, masks are required along with social distancing. For those community members who cannot attend or feel more comfortable at home, we will be live-streaming the service. The 5th Grade Honor Choir will be presenting a short Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11th at 9 am to the elementary students. The program will be live-streamed and you can view it at https://youtu.be/9UDbu08eCs0 We hope you join them virtually!

High School Winter Sports Parent Meeting on tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10th, at 7:00 pm in the High School Gym. Parents and athletes are encouraged to attend as we will be discussing the new winter sports guidelines/changes. Masks are required. Thank you for your cooperation.

Attention MS Wrestling Parents--We have just been informed that the 7th/8th grade wrestling invite at South Loup this Thursday is now allowing 1 spectator per wrestler. Spectators name must be given to Coach Mraz by Wednesday.

Parents: Last month we sent out a survey to parents of Cozad Community School students regarding internet and device access at home. Thank you to all who responded! We had approximately 65% of our parents complete the survey. We are reaching out again and asking those who have not had time to complete the survey, to take just a few minutes to answer 5 simple questions regarding your child(ren). PLEASE NOTE: This information that is being collected is NOT for planning any school closure--it is data that we submit to the Nebraska Department of Ed. The data we submit will hopefully help us with receiving some funding from the state.
