Cozad Community Schools is seeking applicants for the position of AfterZone (After School) Program Director. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, student & staff supervision skills, and strong communication skills. This position entails working with children in grades K-5. Work days follow the school calendar with flexible hours. Summer program option available from June 1st through the end of July. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance. Teaching Certificate preferred, but not required. For more information, please contact the District Office.

Cozad High School is proud to announce that we have four state science fair qualifiers! Dante Dyches-Chandler, Hannah Guthard, Landry Geiger, and Mallory Applegate were in the six state qualifier selections from the Western Science Fair. These four Haymakers will participate in the Virtual Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences State Science Fair in April. Congratulations! #cozadMakers

Cozad Community Schools has invited Karen Haase to present “Digital Citizenship & Safety” during the 3/8/2021 school day to the CCS student body, grades 4-12. Karen will meet with 4th & 5th graders at 11:30, Middle School at 1:00 pm, and High School students at 2:00 pm. During her presentation, school attorney Karen Haase will discuss legal issues related to students' use of social media. Using humor, statistics, and summaries of real-life cases, Karen will explain to students the significant consequences attached to the inappropriate use of social media. In addition, Karen will provide students with the information and resources to be safe online and practice a positive digital presence.
Karen Haase is a partner in the law firm of KSB School Law, where she focuses her practice exclusively on representing public school districts and related entities. She holds degrees from Hastings College, Kansas State University and the University of Nebraska College of Law. Prior to attending law school, Karen taught at both the high school and post-secondary level. Karen has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and has two children.
