Senior Honors Night is Wednesday, May 11th at 7PM. Seniors and presenters will need to be there by 6:45PM. If you senior is receiving an award or scholarship, they will be notified today that they need to be at Senior Honor Ceremony.

Cozad High School is thankful for Central Community College and Cozad Community Hospital for their partnership to give these students the opportunity of getting their CNA and Med Aide certifications. Lori Scroggin is the instructor for these classes. The following students Isaac Martinez-Ramos, Brayden Wilkinson, Beatriz Davila, Elle Pollat, Regan Schroeder, and Brooke Valenzuela finished their last state test today for Med Aide. While in Kearney, they got to tour Kearney Regional Hospital and the UNMC campus. They also ate at Kyoto to celebrate! Also thank you to Mrs. Haarberg, CHS Counselor, for staking the students today.

Cozad Haymakers Boys Youth Summer Basketball Camps will be held on May 23rd, 24th, and 25th. These camps are for boys & Girls K-2nd grade and Boys grades 3 through 8. Makaia Baker is the 2022 Terry Franzen Award winner today at the SWC track meet in Gothenburg. Congratulations Makaia!

Staff from Waypoint Bank presented their very first Outstanding Teacher Award today to Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Ashly Bown. Mrs. Bown was nominated by her entire class and Para Stephanie Schroeder. The class was treated to a pizza party for their lunch today to celebrate the honor. Congrats Mrs. Bown!

CHANGES IN TRACK SCHEDULE: SWC Track Invite at Gothenburg as been postponed and rescheduled to Tuesday, May 3rd (moved from Saturday, April 30th). The SWC Invite has a new start time of 10:00 am for field events and 11:30 for running events. JV Invite scheduled for Monday, May 2nd, has been moved to Wednesday, May 4th. At this time, Cozad track is unsure if our JV will be competing. We will update as soon as we know. With the change in the SWC Invite, Cozad Track will NOT compete at the Best of the Midwest Track meet at Sutherland on May 3rd. Varsity Cozad Invite will be on Thursday, May 5th (not Friday May 6th as calendar shows). This meet will start at 4:00 pm (Pole Vault 3:30). MS Track Invite will be Friday, May 6th (not Thursday). The MS invite will start at 3:00 pm (Pole Vault 2:30). District Track will be on Tuesday, May 10th in Ogallala. Field Events 10:30 am (MST) and Running Events 1:00 pm (MST) MS Track Meet at Minden has been moved to Thursday, May 12th (originally was May 10th) starting at 3:00 pm. State Track: State Track Meet will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, May 18th and 19th in Omaha (calendar dates of 20th & 21st are incorrect).
