MS Wrestling Parents: Important information for the upcoming MS Wrestling Tournament on Friday, November 17th. The wrestling tournament will be held at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney beginning at 4:30 pm. Admission for this tournament is $10.00 Adults and $5.00 students. No coolers can be brought into the facility. All spectators are asked to remain in the stands at all times and not down by the mats. The Buffalo County Fairgrounds is a CLEAR BAG POLICY venue. Clear bags and small clutch-sized purses are only allowed at entry.

FCCLA Picture Buttons for Winter Athletes
The Veterans Day Program will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 10 in the CHS gym. Welcoming remarks will be given by CHS Principal Corey Fisher. Sgt. Brad Peltier, Commander, VFW Post #890 will serve as emcee for the program. The Presentation of Colors will be done by members of the Cozad Honor Guard, with the CHS Band, under the direction of DeVere Larington, playing our National Anthem. The invocation will be delivered by Pastor David Haynes from the Cozad Church of Christ. Voice of Democracy audio essays on “What are the Greatest Attributes of Our Democracy” will be given by Callie Kostrunek, Erica Weatherly, and Jorja Yocom. Special music will be provided by the CHS Choir, directed by Amanda Kidder, Amy Hoehner, and the CHS Band. Guest Speaker is Laura Peltier, who will be sharing her experiences as the wife of a veterans and now the mom of a son in the military. Recognition will be done for Veterans by Conflict, Purple Heart Recipients, POWS, and Gold Star Families. Taps will be played by DeVere Larington to close the service. The Patriot’s Pen Essays will be read at the Veterans Day supper at 6 p.m. at the Cozad Elks Club. The winning essays will be read by Taegan Dexter, Matthew Rhoades, and Mason Johnson. Eden Jackson, Eric Schroder, and the Cozad Dairy Queen will be donating ten percent of their profits on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11 to VFW #890 as well as veterans receiving a free medium Blizzard any time during the day.
