Today, Cozad Community Schools proudly welcomes our new teachers for the 2024-2025 school year! We kicked off the day with introductions and then took our new teachers on a tour of Cozad, giving them a warm welcome to our wonderful community. A special thank you to Melanie Nutt from Cozad Tourism and Jordan Starman, Cozad Chamber Director, for joining us and welcoming our new staff. CHS Orientations this Week!

Secondary English Language Learner Paraprofessional. Job responsibilities include working with students who qualify for the English Language Learner program. Benefits include health, dental & vision insurance.
Route & Activity Bus Drivers. CDL preferred or required upon
hire. CDL costs covered by the school district.
Part-Time AfterZone Paraprofessional. Become a team member doing activities with elementary students. Work 12-15 afternoon hours per week.

7th & 8th Graders can pick up your schedules and visit your lockers on:

For our new 6th graders and students new to Middle School, join us for a special orientation on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00 PM in the MS Commons. You’ll get a short presentation, receive your class schedules, and have the chance to tour the school and visit your lockers.
Just a friendly reminder that ALL 7th graders need to have a physical completed and turned into the MS office before school starts. Don’t forget to schedule your appointment if you haven’t already!

Chromebook pick-up is happening this week on Wednesday and Thursday--August 7th & 8th! Make sure to pick up your Chromebook now so it can be charged and updated before the first day of classes.
Pick-Up Details:
📍 Location: Cozad Middle School, Room 12 (off the library)
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM - Noon or 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (both days)
A $20 take-home protection fee is required for the school year and can be paid at this time. Forms will be given to you at the time of pick up and all forms and $20 protection take-home fee are due by August 31st.
**Please try and arrange to pick up your chromebook during these scheduled times.
(New students to CHS will receive their Chromebooks on the first day of school.)
The wait is over!! Cozad activity and annual report calendars were mailed out today! Thank you Homestead Bank, Security First Bank and Waypoint Bank for continuing to sponsoring these calendars, they would not be possible without your generosity!
Attention--The MS and HS golf camp that was scheduled for today is canceled due to rain and lightning. Camp will still go tomorrow at 10am.
CHS Students: tomorrow, Thursday, August 1st, the High School PowerSchool portal will be open. At this time, HS students will be able to view their 2024-25 schedule. Please mark your calendars for WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7th, for schedule changes. Mrs. Haarberg will be available for changes from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. She will not be able to make changes by email or phone call. Due to construction, Mrs. Haarberg will be at the Middle School on this date for schedule changes. Please enter the MS front doors and her location will be posted. This is for HIGH SCHOOL students only.
📣 Attention Fall Sports Parents! Join us for the Fall Sports Parents Meeting on August 5th, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the HS Gym (The Barn). It’s important for both parents and athletes to attend. This is for HS athletes grades 9-12 competing in a fall sport. 🅿️ Please park in the east parking lot and enter through the locker room hallway doors. See you there!

Speed Camp--Speed and agility training will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15-6:00 on the following dates: July 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25.
All athletes will attend at the same time.
