Homecoming is Here, Haymakers! The celebration kicks off with our Homecoming Pep Rally at 2:15 PM in the High School gym—come show your Haymaker pride! Later, our Cozad Haymaker football team takes on Chase County at 7:00 PM! Before the game, stop by the Annual Band Sloppy Joe Feed from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Crowning of our 2024 Homecoming King and Queen will be held after the game!

What an amazing night last evening for our CHS Haymaker softball team! 🥎 The Lady Haymakers played their final home game at Bellamy Field and celebrated their 4 senior members: Kinley Armagost, Madison Sayer, Lauren Eldridge, and McKenzie Munster. We’re so proud of these seniors and the legacy they’ve built! To top off the night, the Haymakers defeated Lexington! A huge shoutout to Clayton Fleharty for hitting 3 out-of-the-park home runs and Kinley Armagost for adding another! What a way to close out the season at home!

Due to numbers, the 9/10 reserve volleyball game on Thursday will be cancelled. The JV contest will now begin at 5:00 pm with the varsity contest at 6:00 pm.
Please join our Cozad FFA Monday, September 23rd, at the Elk's Club in Cozad at 6:30 pm for our Labor Auction! The burger feed starts at 6:30, with the Auction to follow. After the auction, we will have our FFA Parents meeting as well!
Good luck to our Haymakers today! It’s a packed Tuesday, September 17th, with our athletes giving it their all across various events. Our Varsity Girls Golf team is at the Gothenburg Invite, and back home, the JV and Varsity volleyball teams take on Alma and Arapahoe at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 PM. Softball Senior Night s also in action with JV and Varsity games against Lexington at 5:00 and 6:30 PM. Finally, our 7th and 8th Grade Football teams face off against Ogallala starting at 5:00 PM. Congratulations to the Cozad High School 2024 Top 5 Homecoming Candidates. King candidates include Boston Irish, Mason Fales, Noah Shoemaker, Brock Malcom and Lane Wright. Queen candidates include McKenzie Munster, Erica Weatherly, Mara Smith, Brilee Wiese, and Callie Kostrunek. King and Queen will be crowned at next Friday's homecoming game at the end of the game on September 20th.
