Cozad Community Schools will be holding Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Conferences are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. High School and Middle School are an "open house" format and elementary conferences are scheduled times. We look forward to seeing you!
Attention Basketball Parents & Patrons: Tonight’s games with Broken Bow have been cancelled. The Boys’ game will be made up on Monday, February 15th. JV Boys will play at 4:30 and Varsity boys to follow at 6:00 pm. Both of these games will be played in the CHS gym. Parents’ Night for both boys and girls basketball teams will take place between the JV and Varsity games that night. Due to Girls’ sub-district tournament next week, their game against Broken Bow will not be rescheduled.
The status of the Boys’ Basketball game scheduled with Sidney on Saturday, February 13th, is still being determined if it will be played or not. More information will be posted as soon as available. #cozadMakers

Senior year is a whirlwind of activities. This is a big year for your child as he or she balances schoolwork, extracurricular activities and the college application process. At this time, our seniors are underway on completing scholarships. Our High School Counselor, Mr. Jose Monrroy, sends an update every two weeks summarizing the scholarships they have submitted. If you, as a senior parent, would like to receive your senior's bi-weekly local scholarship updates, please complete the form at the end of this email. The Cozad Middle School held their annual spelling bee finals today. There were 7 finalists: Laylie Love, Ava Osborn, Blake Conroy, Chandler Kaup, Olliver Davis, Taylor Stephens, and Caleb Granay. The finalists competed to win part of the Hershel Olson Family Memorial Spelling Bee Award presented by Mr. Joel Carlson. Our top three each won part of the award: 3rd place & $175 went to Chandler Kaup, Runner-Up & $350 went to Caleb Granay, and the Champion & winner of $500 went to Olliver Davis. Great job to all the participants!
The SkillsUSA Chili Cook Off scheduled for Monday, Feb 8 has been cancelled due to Covid. We plan on holding it next year. Thanks for understanding.
Congratulations to Makenna White, CHS Senior, and Megan Dyer, CHS Sophomore, on adding their names to the CHS Volleyball Record Board. Makenna and Megan both earned a spot on the "Season Serve Receive" category. Makenna was 89.1% and Megan 88.0%. Congratulations ladies!
Congratulations to Mallory Applegate, CHS Sophomore, on her two school records in Girls' Cross Country. Mallory set the record for Top Sophomore Time (19:55) . Mallory set the school record for Top Over-All Time (19:55).
Congratulations to Emma Coen & Elizabeth Tvrdy, CHS Seniors, on adding their names to the CHS Softball Record Board. Emma tied for 7th in Career Batting Average (.399). Biz added her name in the 4th spot for Single Season RBI (44).
