We are gearing up for what I believe will be a great school year. I am excited to be working with this administrative staff, professional teaching staff, and our support staff, they have worked hard for the students of this district and I am excited about charting our new course. I have received a few phone calls and some questions so I wanted to take a few moments to share some information with all of youl
First,
I am very excited to be the Superintendent of Schools in Cozad. I have alot of roles in my position but one of them is to listen to community members. I will be hosting 3 Parent Focus Groups the week of August 9th. Please use this link to sign up for a session if you would like to participate. I look forward to hearing about your aspirations for Cozad Community Schools.
Second,
I have been informed that while I was representing Cozad Community Schools in Kearney at Administrator Days the district administrative staff received several inquiries in regard to the Return to Learn plan for 2021-22. Although we have a couple of weeks before schools begins at this point we have not been directed to require masks. So, at this time they are optional and will be a family decision.
Third,
Fall sports will begin on August 9th. Physicals need to be completed before a student may participate in practices.
Lastly,
If you have information that needs to be updated with the school please make sure you contact the administrative assistant at your child's school.
