CHS Senior Kersan Inek Signs with the United States Army

Tuesday, March 31, was a special day at Cozad High School as senior Kersan Inek signed his letter of intent to join the United States Army.

Kersan was joined by his father, Iosinobu Keor, along with Sergeant First Class Leaidicker and First Lieutenant McLean, who were present for both the signing and the swearing-in ceremony. Many of Kersan’s friends and classmates attended to witness this important milestone.

Two of Kersan’s close friends, Kaden Shirley and Bryton Baca, had the honor of holding the American flag during the ceremony.

Following graduation, Kersan will report to boot camp on August 25 at Fort Benning in Georgia. After completing boot camp, he will begin four years of active duty service as a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

Kersan has long been interested in pursuing a trade, particularly welding, while also feeling called to serve in the military. Inspired by his uncle’s service, he saw the United States Army as an opportunity to gain both valuable training and a meaningful career path.

We are grateful for Kersan’s commitment to serve our country and wish him the very best in his future.

Kersan is the son of Keor Iosinobu and Merina Inek.
