Cozad High School proudly announces the recognition of three exceptional seniors—Olliver Davis, Claytn Fleharty, and Gage Strauss—as Cozad Elk Students of the Month for Semester 1. This prestigious award highlights their outstanding contributions to both the school and the community.
The Elks Student of the Month Committee meets twice each school year—once in Semester 1 and once in Semester 2. High school counselors and junior representatives from Cozad, Gothenburg, Eustis-Farnam, and Lexington review senior portfolios and select the monthly winners. This year, Cozad’s junior representatives are Morgan Mraz and Myles Ide. The committee will meet again in Semester 2 to choose additional senior winners.
Olliver Davis selected as August Elks Student of the Month
Olliver Davis, a senior at Cozad High School, is an excellent example of leadership, dedication, and involvement. Throughout his four years at CHS, he has been actively involved in Football, Basketball, and Track, demonstrating strong commitment to both athletics and academics.
Olliver is also a member of the Cozad National Honor Society, where he currently serves as President. His leadership, positive attitude, and willingness to help others have earned him respect from both peers and staff. Olliver’s contributions to school and community activities make him a deserving recipient of this recognition.
Olliver is the son of Brian and Aimee Davis.

Clatyn Fleharty selected as a October Elks Student of the Month
Clatyn Fleharty, a senior at Cozad High School, is recognized for her strong work ethic, leadership, and genuine kindness. Throughout her time at CHS, Clatyn has demonstrated dedication to her academics while being actively involved in athletics, cheerleading, and various school and community activities.
Clatyn is known for her big heart and her willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether supporting classmates, assisting staff, or stepping up during school events, she consistently shows compassion, reliability, and a positive attitude. Her character, involvement, and determination make her a standout member of the senior class.
Clatyn is the daughter of Bill and Dranoel Fleharty.

Gage Strauss selected as a December Elks Student of the Month
Gage Strauss, a senior at Cozad High School, is recognized for being a great student, his strong work ethic, and his positive attitude. Throughout his time at CHS, Gage has excelled academically while being involved in school activities and contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment for his peers.
Gage is known for his kindness, always treating others with respect and offering a helping hand when needed. His consistent dedication to academics, combined with his friendly nature and willingness to support classmates, makes him a valued member of the school community.
Gage is the son of Dan and Stacy Strauss.
