Congratulations to Cozad High School Senior Connor Brock who was named Elks Student of the Month for February. Connor is the son of Travis and Mindy Brock. Connor is a Member of the Cozad High School National Honor Society, received multiple CCSA Awards, and has been named consistently on the High/Exemplary Honor Roll. In addition to his academic success, he has participated in many community service projects.
CHS Counselor Mrs. Haarberg with two junior representatives, Wyatt Hosick and Andrea Meester, met with the counselors and junior representatives from Eustis-Farnum, Gothenburg, and Lexington for selection of Elks Student of the Month. Multiple times a year counselors and junior representatives from each of the schools above meet. The junior representatives look through portfolios of seniors from all four districts that have an application, resume, letter of recommendation, and transcript. There are then two seniors from either school district selected as Elks Student of the Month. This last meeting was held in Gothenburg and winners were selected for February and March. The counselors and junior representatives will meet again in April in Lexington to select April and May.
