The annual Hershel Olson Family Memorial Spelling Bee we hosted at Cozad Middle School on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Congratulations to the Spelling Bee winners, 3rd place Julien Davis, 2nd Jacob Brooks, and winner Charlie Baker.
Over 20 interested students took a written spelling test. The top 9 spellers then competed in a final oral spelling bee. Finalist included: Reagan Chrisinger (6th), Audrey Baker (7th), Chandler Kaup (8th), Brenner Thayer (7th), RJ Johnson-Quiah (7th), Raegan Love (6th). The Top 3 students were recognized by the Hershel Olson Family and were presented a Memorial Spelling Bee Award by Cozad School Board member, Mr. Joel Carlson. Thank you to the Family for this recognition and Monetary award.
