Cozad Weights Schedule Summer 2019

Weekly Schedule:  

Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday are set lifting days for the following groups.

  • Group A Boys 6:30-7:30AM (11th-12th grade) (Varsity FB)
  • Group B Boys 7:30-8:30AM (9-10th FB, and those all grades not out for FB)
  • Group A Girls  8:30-9:30 AM (All Girls grades 9-12)
  • Group C 9:30-10:15 AM (Middle school grades 6-8, boys and girls)
  • Open Makeup Lifting (5-6 PM, as needed only)

Wednesday and Friday are open lifting days for all groups.  (7-8 AM)

Other lifting arrangements can be worked around schedules by contacting Coach Cargill to make plans accordingly.

Weight room will be open from May 28th-July 26th   for summer workouts.

Athletes must record 26 days lifting and 4 speed camp days to be considered for Lifter of the Year awards. A maximum of 5 camp days are allowed for attendance purposes.

Speed Camp

  • Speed and agility training will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15-6:00 on the following dates:  All athletes will attend at the same time. (Football players need to make a minimum 4 of 7 dates).     July 2, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25.

Summer Football Schedule 2019

  • The weight room will be open beginning Tuesday May 28th.

  • Varsity Linemen, TE Camp in Overton.  (June 25th).  

  • Varsity Football Camp June 26 & 27th (Grades 9-12, 8AM-11AM).

  • Kicking Camp in Cozad.  TBA  (9-11:30AM.) (Pre-registered, limited enrollment)

  • The weight room will be closed July 4th.

  • 7 on 7 Football Camp in North Platte on Mondays. (July 8, 15, 22nd  6-8PM)

  • Full Contact football camp in Cozad.  July 9th (Grades 9-12, 8:15-11:45)

  • Sales for our annual fundraiser, TBA.

  • Varsity Line drills in Cozad (July 8th, 15th,22nd  at 6PM-6:30PM.  July 17th & 24th  at 7AM-7:40AM)

  • 7 on 0 and Skelly passing in Cozad on Wednesday. (July 3rd, 17th, & 24th. 7AM-7:40 AM)

  • July 29th-August 2nd - Testing/Max week.

  • Friday August 2nd will be the last day for summer lifting workouts.

  • Youth Football Camp. (July 30th &  31st  8 AM- 12 PM)

  • Football Checkout July 31st, 4:00 PM. (Have a combination lock for your locker).

  • Football Pre-Season Conditioning.  August 5th  - August 8th   at 6PM. (Lifting at 5:30 M,T, TH)

  • Football Two-a-Days August 12th-14th, 8:30-11:30 AM. (Lift at 7:45am Monday/Tuesday).

  • August 15th  One Practice at 3:30 PM (Lift at 2:45 PM)

  • August 16th Special teams/Continuity offense practice at 3:30 PM.

  • August 17th Team Scrimmage 8:30 AM- 9:30 AM.

  • Regular Football practice begins August 19- 22nd, 3:45-5:45.

  • School begins August 21st.

  • Gatorade Scrimmage August 23rd, 7 PM.

  • Cozad vs Ord (at Ord) August 30th, 7 PM.
