Summer 2017

Weekly Schedule:  

  1. Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday are set lifting days for the following groups.

    1. Group A Boys 6:30-7:30AM (11th-12th grade) (Varsity FB)

    2. Group B Boys 7:30-8:30AM (9-10th FB, and those all grades not out for FB)

    3. Group A Girls  8:30-9:30 AM (All Girls grades 9-12)

    4. Group C 9:30-10:30 AM (Middle school grades 6-8, boys and girls)

    5. Open Makeup Lifting (5-6 PM, as needed only)

  1. Wednesday and Friday are open lifting days for all groups.  (7-8 AM)

  2. Other lifting arrangements can be worked around schedules by contacting Coach Cargill to make plans accordingly.

  3. Weight room will be open from May 30th-July 28th   for summer workouts.

  4. Athletes must record 25 days lifting and 4 speed camp days to be considered for Lifter of the Year awards. A maximum of 5 camp days are allowed for attendance purposes.

Speed Camp

  • Speed and agility training will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:15-6:00 on the following dates:  All athletes will attend at the same time. (Football players need to make a minimum 4 of 6 dates).     July 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26.

Dates of Importance for football:

  • The weight room will be open beginning Tuesday May 30th.

  • Varsity Football Camp June 28 & 29th (Grades 9-12, 8AM-11AM).

  • The weight room will be closed July 4th.

  • Full Contact football camp in Gibbon July 5th (Grades 9-12 by invitation, 9AM-12PM)

  • Cookie dough sales for our annual fundraiser, June 29th-July 11th. (Delivery July 27th )

  • 7 on 7 Football Camp in North Platte on Mondays. (July 10, 17, 24th 6-8PM)

  • Varsity Linemen, TE, FB Camp in Overton.  (July 12th 9AM-4PM)

  • Varsity Line drills in Cozad (July 10th & 17th at 6PM-6:30PM, July 19th at 7AM-7:40AM)

  • 7 on 0 and Skelly passing in Cozad on Wednesdays. (July 12, 19th 7AM-7:40 AM)

  • Friday July 28th will be the last day for summer lifting workouts.

  • Youth Football Camp. (August 1st & 2nd, 8 AM- 12 PM)

  • Football Checkout August 2nd, 4:00 PM. (Have a combination lock for your locker).

  • Football Pre-Season Conditioning.  July 31st- August 3rd  at 6PM. (Lifting at 5:30 M,T, TH)

  • Football Two-a-Days August 7th-9th, 8:30-11:30 AM. (Lift at 7:45am Monday/Tuesday).

  • August 10th  One Practice at 3:30 PM (Lift at 2:45 PM)

  • August 11th Special teams/Continuity offense practice at 3:30 PM.

  • August 12th Team Scrimmage 8:30 AM- 9:30 AM.

  • Regular Football practice begins August 14-17th, 3:45-5:45.

  • School begins August 16th.

  • Gatorade Scrimmage August 18th, 7 PM.

  • Cozad vs Chase Co.  August 25th, 7PM
